Opened in 1996, Legacy Founders Cottage is a licensed, seven-room special-care facility in a cozy, homelike environment in Oak Cliff.  Designed exclusively for people living with AIDS in critical stages of their illness who require 24-hour supervised care, the caregivers become a family to our patients,  to ensure they feel loved and cared for. Both hospice and home health care services are available to residents based on individual needs, and all meals are prepared in-house by staff and volunteers to meet the unique needs and desires of individual residents.

Some of the services Founders Cottage provides include:
  • Meals and “Comfort Food”
  • Around the Clock Care Giving
  • Housekeeping
  • Counseling and Support
  • Companionship
  • Bereavement Support
  • Medical Support
  • Advocacy & Social Work
Legacy is always looking for volunteers to help with many of these services on a regular basis.
