Lakes' infamous drag career began in Rochester, New York in 1990 after her freshman year of college. After seeing a drag queen’s performance of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in a local production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show; Her friends put her in drag, and they said she resembled Ricki Lake from the hit 1988 classic – Hairspray. Thus, Darienne Lake was born.
Known for her larger-than-life personality and razor-sharp wit, Lake has captivated audiences worldwide with her incredible charisma and infectious humor. As one of the most beloved drag performers of our time, she has conquered the stage, television, film, and hearts of fans everywhere. Being dubbed part of the “ABCDs of Drag” by Mama RuPaul herself, Dariennes' talent speaks for itself! You’ve seen Lake in Season 6 of RuPauls Drag Race, and the 8th Season of RuPauls Drag Race All Stars, Drag Me To Dinner, as well as being labeled one of Vulture's Top 100 Most Powerful Drag Queens of 2019! She has made appearances on shows such as Hey Queen, Ricki Lake, and Drag Me to Dinner. As well as appearing in films like Hurricane Bianca, This Is Drag, and Boys Will Be Girls!

Empress 48 of the United Court of the Lone Star Empire, During her reign, Penny led the charge to raise over $100K for local LGBT+ charities!

Lipps La Rue
Lipps La Rue has been on the charity circuit for a long, long, long, long, long time. She spends most of her time raising money for the Dallas community, but occasionally will travel to help out other cities with their fundraising goals and spreading the ministry.
She is a past empress with the International Court System, as well as "Queen of the Closet" and "Miss Firecracker" with the Texas Gay Rodeo Association. She is also a former Miss Leo which raises money for AIN here in the Dallas area. Her favorite motto is, "It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice". Something that she wishes more people would live by.
